Durham is an incredible destination for golf, and the County Durham Golf Trail will let you experience four of its renowned courses in one memorable trip.
Starting on Sunday July 7th at South Moor, a former venue of the McGregor trophy which winds its way through heather and gorse, the next stop on July 8th is the beautiful Henry Cotton designed course at Beamish Park. Then it's on to Harry Colt's masterpiece at Brancepeth Castle on July 9th, a worthy fixture in the UK's top 100 courses, and finally Barnard Castle on July 10th for an exciting 'tour championship' style order of play.

The event is open to pairs of any combination, with daily prizes as well as a final order of merit trophy.

South Moor Golf Club
Dr Alister MacKenzie designed course is a stunning county championship venue, oozing natural charm as it winds between gorse, heather and bracken around an enticing heathland layout.
Brancepeth Castle Golf Club
Designed by the world famous architect Harry Colt in 1924. A beautiful parkland course offering a great variation of holes. The deep ravine cutting through the course, provides some challenging tee shots.
Beamish Park Golf Club
The Golf Club shares the beautiful Beamish valley with the museum and Beamish Hall hotel. The course is a challenging Henry Cotton design that sits peacefully in tune with the surroundings.
Barnard Castle Golf Club
The relatively flat parkland course is noted for its natural surroundings including 4 streams that run throughout the course and come in to play on many of the holes.
